I set up Shoesforkids because, like us, many parents want their children to have the best quality shoes but cannot or do not want to pay high street prices. I also love shoes!
In 2006 I set up Shoesforkids as a hobby run from home after I was made redundant from my marketing job (after having my son (and inspiration), Harrison). From an initial 50 pairs of shoes on the site (as I am sure some of you will remember!) it has now grown to a full-time business. In late 2008 we became VAT registered (GB 281 0004 53) and later that year we invested in new premises which means that we can hold a lot more stock!
In November 2009 my husband Clive joined the business as a partner (incorporating chief packer, warehouseman & accountant!). I never in my wildest dreams thought it would grow to where it has today and most of it is down to you mums! I hope that we offer a great, friendly service and testament to this is the many mums (and dads, grandparents…) that come back and buy from us again!
In 2012 we expanded our range to include Welliesforkids – a dedicated site for wellies and snow boots.
In late 2015 we relaunched the site on a more modern hosting platform. This allows us to offer a larger range of shoes and for our customers to create an account on the site – making checkout easier next time! We hope you like it!
In late 2017 we became Shoesforkids Limited and in 2018 we had our biggest “back to school” August ever! Thanks, as ever, to all our lovely customers!
December 2020 – Almost 15 years since I set up Shoesforkids and Harrison is now almost 18!
January 2021 We are delighted to welcome back Karen as our Assistant Manager, Karen was with us a couple of years ago and we are delighted to have her back on board as she is a great asset to our team! Watch this space for latest news!
Wally, our cocker spaniel, joined the family in 2011 and is currently motivational director and chief biscuit tester! You can find a selection of Wally’s favourite deals each week at the Wally’s Weekly Deals page!
In January 2023 we were devastated to lose Wally, he has been with us almost from the start. In honour of his memory we keep Wally’s Weekly Deals.

We can supply Clarks, Start-Rite, Chipmunks, Buckle My Shoe, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Garvalin, Richter, Petasil, Bellamy, Ricosta, Aster, Geox and Noel and others – and delivered to your door! and many others – but our stocks and sizes of shoes are limited and are dependent upon availability from our suppliers. Consequently they tend to sell out very quickly.

Unfortunately we do not have any other sizes than those stated, hence our extremely competitive prices.
